Hello to you all, budding chefs! I heartily congratulate you first for taking up cooking and learning to prepare your own food. Now, it's time for me to introduce myself.
I'm Vinci(pen name), a girl in her twenties, pursuing a career in law, living in Chennai, India. Don't mistake me, but I was never a big fan of cooking until I cooked my first meal. I used to think it was all complicated and that it's easier to just buy the food as it saves time too. Boy, was I wrong!
Cooking taught me discipline, culture, nutrition, and time-management. All those days, when our mother cooks and brings us the food, we never really thought about the process behind the meal, or at least I didn't. But, after graduating from school, flying off to a new town to take up college, 'food' became a problem and that's when I started to learn. Not by myself, and I thank my teacher (staying anonymous) for all the umpteen times my dishes turned out to be a total disaster and yet being patient with me and constantly urging me to be the better cook.
I decided to share my experience in cooking so that other newbies, working or studying can whip up easy meals in their hectic days. Even though I like cooking, I hate standing in the kitchen for long hours, so all my recipes are concise and take nominal time and hence it'd be easier for you to prepare once you decide on a recipe.
The plus on following my blog whilst there are so many cooking blogs out there is,
1. The recipes are all from a single cook a.k.a me, so no worries about "Too many cooks spoiling the broth" ;)
2. Never sulk due to a lack of ingredients. Improvise and Experiment and I'll teach you how to do exactly that, so if suppose you end up on an island with means to make fire, you can make a meal for yourself. :D
3. Personal touch - I write what I eat. All the recipes have been tried out and perfected, so if you have any trouble at all, I'll know how to help you, so feel free to contact me through comments or mail.
